Also known as Mountain Lion, Puma, Panther or Catamount. These animals are more closely related to the smaller cats like the domestic cat (Felinae) compared to larger cats like Tigers (Pantherinae). It is the second heaviest cat in the new world after the Jaguar. Jaguars are in the sub-family Pantherinae and are the only members of this sub-family native to the new world.
